If you notice, there are no images here in the category page.

There is an image missing on this home page for WordPress Beginnings.

I need to set the “Featured Image”

Choose a post and click ‘edit’  Then choose “featured image” to drop down the menu. Then choose “Set Featured Image” to upload or add an image from your media gallery.

Choose your image and click “Set Featured Image” at the bottom

Now your post has a featured image:

That image is now visible on your home page and in the categories link.

When you start a new post, you can add a featured image in your editor by clicking  “Featured Image so the drop down menu shows you “Set Featured Image”

Wowser!  It’s fun to learn this!

Note:  If your post is not an image, but an interactive like ThingLink or a video, take a screenshot of part of that and use the screenshot as your “Featured Image”
